What's new...September 16, 2008The picture on my home page was taken at Flower Springs Lake. This is the last hike with Tank, our rottweiler, as my companion and pack dog. We lost him a few days later to some sort of meningitis. He will be missed. October 30, 2007Finally I have some time to work on pictures! New pictures of Muncho Lake added to the Fort Nelson 2007 gallery. June 30, 2007New exhibition with pictures of the Poplar Hills Golf Course. Cover photo for BC Oil & Gas ReportOne of my northern lights pictures, Trees Against a Northern Sky, is on the cover of BC Oil & Gas Report magazine. 2008 CalendarI've been working on a calendar for 2008. It will be called "The Road North" and will feature 12 of my pictures taken along the highway the last few years. The R.L. Angus School PAC and kids will be marketing it for me and sharing in the profits. I am excited about this project and can't wait to see how it turns out. April 19, 2007After a lot of problems with our old web host dlpgraphics.ca has moved to a new host at wiredtree.com. My apologies for the times when this site was so slow. Hopefully it will now be hassle free for all of us. There may be some growing pains while I do some updating so please bear with me. January 2007It's a new year already. Thanks to everyone who supported me in 2007. I am overwhelmed by the support this community has given me. One of the rewards we get form this is GST! I know, it's no fair. I have adjusted my prices to include GST effective Jan 31st. December 22, 2006A few more pictures have been added to the Yukon 2006 exhibition. October 26, 2006New picture of Dawson City, Yukon made from four exposures merged together. September 28, 2006More pictures from Muncho Lake in the Fort Nelson 2006 gallery and pictures of a fox in the Yukon 2006 gallery. September 16, 2006Additions to the Fort Nelson 2006 gallery... Pictures of Summit Lake and Muncho Lake. September 3, 2006The first new image "Colour on the Forest Floor" from our recent trip up north. This is the first road trip with the new Canon 5D camera. August 5, 2006New pictures of the huge Russian helicopter at Fort Nelson airport in the FN 2006 gallery. July 31, 2006A new image on my home page... "In the Boneyard"... getting rusty like my photographer's trigger finger. My new Canon 5D arrived. But, allas, I was unsuccessful at putting life and Murphy on hold while I played with my new toy and learned a new image processing software. Then when I started to work with it I was disappointed with the sharpness of the images. Right now I am waiting for a response from Canon tech support... and kicking myself for not doing some serious tests with it when I first got it. I have put a display in UFA with some of my small and my matted prints and cards. Also a complete set of my 2004 northern lights prints in small size (11x14 frame) for $80 each. Great small gift size. April 25, 2006New arrival and new not yet arrived: I have upgraded my printer to an Epson Stylus Pro 4800. This gives me the ability to print on 17" wide paper (up from the 13" wide paper my SP2200 printer would do). I have done my first X-Large (Super Size me) print and it looks great. I can hardly wait for the not yet arrived, which is a new Canon 5D camera (13 Megapixel). After waiting patiently, allowing for the fact that we just had the Easter long weekend and things do take longer to get to Fort Nelson (I always said overnight courier to FN is 5 days) I phoned to see why it had not received it yet... Somehow it made it to the post office in Banff and final notice has been sent out! Okay, there's not much difference between Banff and Fort Nelson... I can see it would be an easy mistake to make! Anyway, X-Large prints will be 17"x24" print and the frame size will be 24"x32". March 27, 2006A "new" old picture of the First Snow of 2003 in the Fort Nelson 2003 gallery. March 13, 2006Updated my prices and added a downloadable version to the Prices page. Putting prices on my pictures has to be one of my hardest tasks. I started out with a $200 price on a large metal framed print a couple years ago and it has been a steady learning experience for me since. I believe my product has improved greatly over this time as I found better framing materials, non-glare glass, and better skills. I have now set my price for a large print at $225. My panorama pictures have increased a little more to partially compensate for the amount of work I put into them. I have many prints left at the old prices. Check out what I have on display under the Framed Prints menu on the right side of the page. ...and as always, I would love to hear from you at dlp@dlpgraphics.ca Feb 24, 2006I have a new display started at the Fort Nelson UFA. These are available for immediate purchase. Jan 29, 2006Just for something different... I framed one of my northern lights pictures with purple mat and oak frame. My northern lights have been very popular so I thought I'd through this version out there and see how it's received. Jan 26, 2006New Fort Nelson 2006 Gallery started. Some pictures of frost on the flowering crab in our front yard. Jan 2, 2006 Ya... I know its' a new year... But I wasn't finished with the last one yet! I have added a Sort by Category list box in the right brain stuff. You can use it find all the pictures belonging to one category from different years in one place. It's not a complete list but it's a start. |
